Making Sense of Your World

There is an urge within each of us to move forward in life. It is an urge to become more whole, to find more meaning, and eventually to help others. It is our human nature to strive for growth and a sense of well-being.

We are all on a life-long journey to fulfillment. It is a search for who we are and why we are here. It is a journey that expands our consciousness.

An intention to change and grow

When we set an intention to change and grow, we begin a journey in which we move from coping, to learning and finally, to the enjoyment of living.

Do any on these statements resonate with you:

  • I do not feel comfortable in my world, I don’t belong here.
  • (Do you have moments when you start questioning what are you doing in this place?)
  • Feeling as if my stability is built on sand! It could disappear under my feet.
  • Experience a feeling of anxiety that ‘time’ is speeding up?

If all this confusing thoughts keep flashing on the screen of your life, maybe it is time to start asking the important question: Who am I? How do I get balance in my life and accept that I am continually renewing myself and adjusting to changing circumstances around me.  And that the ‘Me’ that I know is a holographic representation of my thoughts of ‘me’.

Consistency is equal to comfort but Change is inevitable, growth is intentional. (Glenda Cloud.)

“When a culture is involved in the dual experience of leaving an old reality behind while simultaneously striving to create a new one, it is imperative that the people and the organizations within it be able to move with the changes. Today’s world demands a different level of involvement from each of us and a new depth of wisdom and maturity too often absent from our process of decision-making.” By Facticity

It is a growth cycle

Change and balance/calibration is very often uncomfortable to start off with, we are out of our comfort zone and as our consciousness expand we find our lives re arranging itself around us, we make new acquaintances, the type of acquaintances/friends that resonate with the new person that we have become, old relationships that no longer serve us falls away, it is a growth cycle and we all go through the same growth cycles, though our experiences may appear entirely different.

By understanding the process of personal and spiritual growth, we can work more effectively with the process, instead of fighting and resisting it.

Every positive change-every jump to a higher level of energy and awareness involve a rite of passage. Each time to ascend to a higher rung on the ladder of personal evolution; we must go through a period of discomfort, of initiation. I have never found an exception” Dan Millman

Think of the seed going thru the transformation process of becoming the tree, of breaking thru the tough shell to become the tender shoot that will become the tree. The tree that will offer shelter to animals and people alike.

So the seed goes thru a shift in form to reach its potential. SO DO WE!

The Transition Phase

It is not an easy process to be in a transition phase, Thoughts, beliefs and habit are all in a flux. It often creates a sense of void that can be uncomfortable.  When this happens we get the impulse to revert back to our old habits because they are comfortable. So if you know that this feeling of transition is part of the change process it helps to muster the courage to put up with the uneasiness.

To change requires that you let go of something, to let go of the old you to allow the new to blossom. You can’t do the same things and expect different result, this is the definition of insanity.

You cannot solve a problem using the same energy that caused it. Change is a constant in life, trying to stop the progress of change is like trying to stop the tide to come in. It is pointless and fruitless.
